Technology and Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Inclusive Education
CIATec (the Center for Inclusion and Accessibility through Technology) brings science and innovation together to transform school education.
Science, technology and innovation for a more inclusive education.
CIATec (the Center for Inclusion and Accessibility through Technology) brings together researchers in computing, education, health and neuroscience to develop digital solutions that broaden access, participation and learning for all students.
We are developing an open platform of adaptive educational games powered by Artificial Intelligence and grounded in the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The initiative fosters accessible, personalized learning experiences aligned with the needs of Brazilian public education, with particular attention to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Our commitment is to turn scientific evidence into open, free technologies with high social impact, strengthening inclusive education through innovation.
Our Mission and Pillars of Action
We create free, accessible digital solutions grounded in scientific evidence to broaden access, participation and learning for all students. Our work is guided by the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), fostering a more inclusive, equitable and personalized education.
Accessibility
Multimodal materials and technologies developed on the principles of Universal Design for Learning, enabling multiple means of access, participation and learning.
Inclusive Education and Equity
Solutions aligned with public policy on school inclusion, supporting teachers, students and administrators in building more accessible educational environments.
Health and Artificial Intelligence
Intelligent models for movement analysis, adaptation of learning experiences and generation of evidence to support pedagogical decisions.
